Description

Let’s give summer a proper farewell while welcoming the fall’s rich flavors with this comforting cocktail. Fresh, end-of-season peaches and bright mint come together with warming bourbon, maple syrup and a touch of cinnamon for a cocktail that celebrates the best of both seasons. This delicious peach-maple bourbon smash is the cocktail you need to transition into a new time of year.


Ingredients

Scale

6-8 fresh mint sprigs
1/2 fresh peach, cut into slices
1/2 lemon, cut into slices
1 ounce real maple syrup
2 ounces bourbon
Pinch of cinnamon
Ice
Ginger ale, for topping
Additional peach slices, for garnish, optional
Additional mint sprigs, for garnish, optional


Instructions

  1.  Add mint sprigs, fresh peach slices, lemon slices and maple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Muddle until the peaches and lemon break down.
  2. Add bourbon, cinnamon and a handful of ice to cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for about 15-30 seconds until the cocktail shaker turns frosty.
  3. Strain drink into ice-filled glasses. Top with a splash of ginger ale. If desired, garnish with additional peach slices and mint sprigs. Enjoy!
