Why You Need This Recipe
Obsessed. That’s how I feel about this latest Burrata and Bubbles cocktail. Considering that creating cocktail recipes is my favorite part of running this blog, it tells you how much I love this pretty drink.
Think spiked pink lemonade with a bubbly, effervescent finish. That’s exactly what your get with this rosé French 75. Who can’t get behind that?
And even though this sparkling rosé cocktail looks fancy and impressive, it couldn’t be easier to make. A little shake here and a pour there is all it takes.

Ingredients
For easy mixing, let's first gather our ingredients. Here's everything we need.
- Sparkling rosé
- London dry gin
- Simple syrup
- Fresh lemon juice
- Lemon twist for garnish
For the sparkling rosé, don't feel like you need to grab an expensive bottle. Since we're mixing it with other ingredients, an inexpensive bottle will do just fine. I used Barefoot Bubbly Brut Rosé, which runs about $10, and it was delicious.
How to Make Lemon Twist
A lemon twist is the classic garnish for a French 75. so I like to have it mostly ready to go. The easiest method is to use a channel knife, which is a fancy bar tool that you drag around the lemon to strip the peel.
If you don't have a channel knife, no worries. A basic kitchen paring knife makes a lovely lemon twist. We shallowly insert a paring knife in the middle of a lemon and cut around the circumference of the lemon like so.
The lemon peel will be thick, which would be fine for something like an old fashioned, but we want something daintier for our bubbly cocktail. So we cut the lemon peel into thin slithers and set aside. Once we make our drink, we twist the lemon peel over the drink to get that delightful, delicate oil and scent and then garnish.
Voilà! That's all it takes to make this simple yet fancy lemon twist.
Step-by-Step Instructions
And just like that, we're ready to start on our rosé French 75. We grab a cocktail shaker and add our gin, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice. I like to make my own simple syrup, which is as easy as simmering equal parts water and sugar, but you're welcome to use store-bought simple syrup if you prefer.
Now we add some ice, pop on the top and give it a good shake. We're serving this French 75 in flutes, which means we won't have room for ice, so we want to make sure our gin mixture is ice cold.
To finish, we top with sparkling rosé, twist our lemon peel and sip away -- preferably with pinkies out for some seriously fancy vibes.
Bonus: For more bubbly cocktails, make sure you also try this prosecco margarita, French 76, French 77 and St. Germain spritz.
Perfect Pairing
Honestly, you have a lot of directions you can go with this cocktail, but I'm especially partial to a smoked salmon platter with side of buttery Brie and plenty of crackers. Those fruity notes always go well with salmon, the bright lemon is a natural match with seafood, and those lively bubbles will cut through the fatty fish and cheese. Some salmon sashimi or sushi rolls are another delicious option.
Of course, this is also the perfect brunch cocktail. In that case, you'll love it with a platter of buttermilk waffles and side of strawberry scones.
When only the most elegant cocktail will do, I hope you try this sparkling rosé French 75. No matter the occasion, this bubbly cocktail always impresses.
Cheers!

📖 Recipe
Sparkling Rosé French 75
Equipment
- Jigger or small measuring cup
- Citrus juicer
- Champagne flute
Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces London dry gin
- 0.75 ounce simple syrup homemade or store-bought (see note)
- ½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Ice
- Sparkling rosé for topping
- Lemon twist for garnish, optional
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, simple syrup, lemon juice and a handful of ice. Pop on the top and shake until cold, about 15-30 seconds.
- Strain into a Champagne flute. Top with sparkling rosé. Twist a strip of lemon peel over the drink to make a lemon twist and garnish on the side of the drink. Enjoy!
Notes
- If making your own simple syrup, bring 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to a high simmer on the stove in a small saucepan, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Once the mixture simmers and the sugar dissolves, remove from heat. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This can be done well in advance and will keep for several weeks.
