Apple  Cinnamon Rolls

1

Stir together the flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Then, melt butter, combine with milk and heat to 105-115 degrees. Add the mixture, eggs, vanilla extract and almond extract to the flour.

2

Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic. Both a stand mixer or kneading by hand does the trick. The dough will be a bit sticky. Now we let it rise in a warm spot.

3

While the dough rises, we cook our apple filling on the stove in a mixture of maple syrup, butter, cinnamon and brown sugar.

4

Now we roll out the dough and spread butter on top with a mixture of cinnamon, brown sugar and the apple filling.

5

Starting at one end, gently roll the filled dough into a log. You may want to first lightly flour the surface to prevent sticking.

6

Cut the filled dough into cinnamon rolls and place in a baking dish. Allow the rolls to rise again for 20 minutes, pour heavy cream on top and bake.

7

To make the maple glaze, beat together cream cheese, maple syrup, powdered sugar and milk. Drizzle over the baked apple cinnamon rolls.

Now enjoy this soft, fluffy apple cinnamon roll that's perfect for fall! You will love every decadent bite.

These make such a perfect fall breakfast! The rolls are really easy to make, and the cream cheese glaze is delicious!
