0.75ouncesimple syruphomemade or store-bought (see note)
½ouncefreshly squeezed lemon juice
Ice
Sparkling rosé for topping
Lemon twistfor garnish, optional
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, simple syrup, lemon juice and a handful of ice. Pop on the top and shake until cold, about 15-30 seconds.
Strain into a Champagne flute. Top with sparkling rosé. Twist a strip of lemon peel over the drink to make a lemon twist and garnish on the side of the drink. Enjoy!
Notes
If making your own simple syrup, bring 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to a high simmer on the stove in a small saucepan, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Once the mixture simmers and the sugar dissolves, remove from heat. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This can be done well in advance and will keep for several weeks.
