Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine-mesh sieve optional, for removing seeds from purée
  • Jigger or small measuring cup
  • Handheld citrus juicer
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer or cocktail strainer

Ingredients

  • Coarse sea salt and sugar for salted rim
  • 1 lime wedge cut with a slit in the middle, for salted rim
  • ¼ cup peaches diced
  • ¼ cup raspberries
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce Raspberry Peach Grand Marnier use standard Grand Marnier if this variety isn't available
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice about 1 lime
  • ½ ounce simple syrup preferably homemade
  • Ice
  • Lime wheel, peach slices and raspberries for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • On a small plate, mix together sea salt and sugar. Run the lime slice around the rim of your glass and dip it into the salt-sugar mixture. Set aside.
  • In a blender, process peaches and raspberries until smooth. If you want to remove the raspberry seeds, push the puree through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl. You can skip this step if you don't mind seeds.
  • Add purée, tequila, Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach, lime juice, simple syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Put on the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-30 seconds. Replace the cocktail shaker top with a Hawthorne strainer and strain into prepared glass. If desired, garnish with a lime wheel, peach slice and fresh raspberries. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If making your own simple syrup, simmer the 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir frequently to dissolve the sugar. As soon as the sugar dissolves, remove from heat.
