Equipment

  • Jigger or small measuring cup
  • Citrus juicer
  • Champagne flute

Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces London dry gin
  • 0.75 ounce simple syrup homemade or store-bought (see note)
  • ½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Sparkling rosé for topping
  • Lemon twist for garnish, optional

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, simple syrup, lemon juice and a handful of ice. Pop on the top and shake until cold, about 15-30 seconds.
  • Strain into a Champagne flute. Top with sparkling rosé. Twist a strip of lemon peel over the drink to make a lemon twist and garnish on the side of the drink. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If making your own simple syrup, bring 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to a high simmer on the stove in a small saucepan, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Once the mixture simmers and the sugar dissolves, remove from heat. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This can be done well in advance and will keep for several weeks.
